A CENTURY-LONG HISTORY BECAME SELF-AWARENESS

II 1921 Regina, an expert embroideress, moved with her family to the large courtyard house which is the company headquarters to this day. Since then, thanks to her knowledge and the manual skills of her apprentices, the production of embroideries and linen has never stopped.

In 1969 the brand Anna Monti was born, which grew within the local market thanks to the new generation, while reaching – elsewhere and under the name of Ricamificio Colombo – an industrial dimension.

Maria Pia, the founder’s niece, was raised in this dual reality, and she took over the company in 2007.

That’s when an almost century-long history became self-awareness, thus redefining the company profile once again. Today, Anna Monti is a workshop in which the textile language is free to express itself. Here an intuition can arise and be developed as it really is, because it’s entrusted to artisans who speak the same language.

Embroidering on paper, on leather, giving depth to surfaces through different types of incisions: the passion that experiments and communicates embodies – just like then, at the founder’s school and workshop – the high social value of doing business in a region, Brianza, where the manufacturing sector is oriented elsewhere.
